More Information on Jay Whiting

Jay and his wife, Cory, have been married for 14 years and they have a 7-year-old son.  They have lived in Zimmerman for five years.  Jay grew up in Elk River and his wife grew up in Zimmerman, both graduating from Elk River High School.  Jay works as a Logistics Coordinator for a water treatment company in Champlin. 

Jay is involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and an advocate for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.  He enjoys volunteering at the elementary school through the WatchDog program.  Jay also serves on the Zimmerman Youth Baseball Board and has recently been appointed to the Zimmerman Park Board. Jay’s hobbies include curling and trap shooting.  He also enjoys coaching his son’s baseball, basketball and football teams and will continue to be involved in youth athletics throughout his tenure on the Council.
