The Planning Department oversees land developed within the City.  Staff reviews proposals and applications, and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Park Commission, City Council and Economic Development Authority.  Staff reviews, processes and makes recommendations on plans for proposed development and redevelopment, subdivision of land, transportation issues, conditional use permits, variances, zoning code and map amendments.  Recommendations on proposals and applications are based upon City Code, including the zoning and subdivision regulations, the Comprehensive Plan, transportation and redevelopment plans, and other City policies. 

Staff is available to answer questions and provide information regarding City Code, zoning issues, property maintenance, and current, past, and future projects.
